SB 27 would require regulators to allow the manufacturing and retail sale of hemp products and to establish a registration system for hemp program participants. In the event a processor produces hemp with more than 0.3% delta-9 THC, the processor is not automatically in violation, but rather is allowed to retain and recondition the product. We encourage Alaska Hemp Supporters to use our State Action Center to urge state legislators to support SB 27.

As in the past few weeks, we continue to draw your attention to state legislation that impacts the hemp and CBD industry. Today, we play the game “Fix, Marry or Kill?” Some of the bills below deserve your full support and allegiance. Others are OK but need some improvements. And still others are bad news and deserve your opposition.
The final round of public comment closed on December 31st, 2020 and version 3.0 of the U.S. Hemp Authority Certification Standard was approved by their Board of Directors and published on their website.
