Kerry Hinkle

Kerry’s journey in the cannabis industry began only months before the 2018 Farm Bill was signed, as the first retail employee of an upscale franchised CBD store in Indianapolis. His entrepreneurial spirit soon led him to become the de facto owner, where he successfully managed and operated multiple CBD stores. He also founded and led his own company, and contributed his expertise to cannabis startups based in San Francisco.

Serving as Director of Membership and Public Affairs with the U.S. Hemp Roundtable, Kerry has worked with multi-million and billion-dollar companies to champion and secure hemp-friendly legislation at both the state and federal levels. He is the primary driver of revenue for the organization, spearheads all press coverage, social media outreach, Washington D.C. lobbying days, and anything else required to run one of the largest advocacy groups for the hemp industry. 

Outside of his professional endeavors, Kerry resides in Lexington, Kentucky, where he is an active participant in his YMCA men’s basketball league and enjoys spending time watching movies with his wife, dog, and two cats.
