Hemp News From New York – Action Needed

Two weeks ago, we alerted you about the imminent passage of A7680-A, legislation that was very unfavorable to the hemp industry, hemp farmers, and CBD consumers in New York and across the country. You responded in droves – more than 2000 emails were sent to state legislators, urging caution and even award-winning actor Mark Ruffalo joined the conversation:

While unfortunately time ran out to amend the bill before passing, Governor Andrew Cuomo and legislative leaders have indicated a willingness to improve the bill with “chapter amendments,” including the bill’s sponsors, Senator Jen Metzger and Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo. The U.S. Hemp Roundtable has prepared a detailed proposal that would protect small farmers and businesses as well as ensure broad access to consumers for a variety of CBD products.

Visit our State Action Center to urge local legislators to support our proposal.
