Hemp Wins Again – Great News from the US Postal Service

Over the past few years, we’d heard a number of stories about hemp and CBD companies encountering resistance from local post offices about the legality of mailing their products. Several months ago, the US Postal Service issued some clarifying guidance, but it was overly restrictive and burdensome.

Counsel for the US Hemp Roundtable had discussions with USPS attorneys, and in April sent this letter requesting a simpler policy that permitted the mailing of legal hemp and hemp-derived CBD products.

The Post Service listened, and this week, issued a new policy. The key provision:
