HR 841 Now Has 42 Sponsors!
We are excited to announce that H.R. 841, The Hemp and Hemp-Derived CBD Consumer Protection and Market Stabilization Act of 2021, now has a total of 42 sponsors: 29 Democrats and 13 Republicans.
Rep. David Scott (D-GA), Chair of the House Agriculture Committee, is the latest to sign on in support – a major step in our efforts to ensure that the 2023 Farm Bill directs the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to regulate CBD now.
The bill, led by Rep. Kurt Schrader (D-OR) and Rep. Morgan Griffith (R-VA), would empower the FDA to regulate hemp-derived CBD as a dietary supplement to ensure consumer safety and stablize the market.
Now, more than ever, your advocacy is critical for Congress to continuing taking steps forward!
Please visit the online action center at regulateCBDnow.com and fill out the customizable form asking your members of Congress to support HR 841 and other bills that would establish a regulatory framework for CBD products!
