U.S. Hemp Authority® and GAP Connections Team To Provide Hemp Certification For Growers

U.S. Hemp Authority® and GAP Connections Team To Provide Hemp Certification For Growers

We are excited to announce that the U.S. Hemp Authority®, the hemp industry’s initiative to provide high standards, best practices and self-regulation for hemp farmers, processors and brand owners, has now teamed up with GAP Connections to better serve and promote the interests of U.S. hemp growers. The two certification programs – which require participating growers to use good agricultural practices (GAP) – will now work in tandem to empower farmers.

Farmers who comply with the rigorous standards under the certification programs set by the two organizations will be able to signal to the marketplace that they utilize good agricultural practices. Under this agreement, GAPC will serve as the U.S. Hemp Authority’s certifying body for farmers, and growers that achieve compliance status will be able to boast the certification seal from both organizations. Recognizing the demand for a comprehensive and transparent tool to verify compliance with best practice implementation, this collaboration will increase transparency and foster an environment that promotes sustainability, safety, profitability, and competition.

The deadline to apply for certification this year is April 15th!
