Inga Selders

Inga Selders is a respected policy director, community advocate, and civic leader dedicated to responsible cannabis reform and public progress. As Policy Director at American Shaman, Inga leads the company’s lobbying and government relations efforts, shaping policies that promote transparency, consumer confidence, and sustainable growth within the hemp industry. 

Inga is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Cannabis Justice Coalition, an advocacy organization working to establish fair and equitable cannabis laws in Kansas. The Coalition is committed to righting the wrongs of past convictions, enhancing community safety, and promoting statewide reform through thoughtful, justice-driven policy. Her leadership also extends to her role as Chair of the Kansas Hemp Safety and Regulations Advisory Committee, where she collaborates with farmers, manufacturers, and retailers to advance safety regulations ensuring product integrity, accurate labeling, and adult-focused sales standards across Kansas.  

Her passionate spirit extends to public service, where she has served on the Prairie Village, Kansas City Council since 2019. During her tenure, she spearheaded initiatives to decriminalize cannabis, successfully integrating cannabis legalization into the City Council’s legislative platform.

She has served on the Executive Board of the U.S. Hemp Roundtable since 2024.
