HB 1043 is the reintroduced version of a bill that earned the support of the Midwest Hemp Council in 2021. The bill allows the production and distribution of hemp craft flower, which enables Indiana farmers to bring innovative products to the marketplace while ensuring that the products can only be purchased by adults. Importantly, the bill makes clear that food is not considered adulterated due to containing craft flower or hemp extracts.
