PAST BILL

SUMMARY: Help us amend HB 272!

PASSED July 01, 2021

HB 272 clarifies that the retail sale of hemp-derived CBD in foods and food additives is legal. The bill also adopts helpful product labeling requirements and ensures CBD products are properly registered with state officials. Unfortunately, the law adds a burdensome requirement that all hemp-derived CBD food products be manufactured in New Hampshire. Such restrictive sourcing requirements stifle the free market and deprive New Hampshire citizens of beneficial products.

This bill has passed the House and is now under consideration by the Senate. Please use our portal to encourage New Hampshire legislators to amend HB 272 before it is too late.
