Fight the Texas Hemp Ban!
Thanks to your advocacy, Texas Governor Greg Abbott vetoed SB 3 earlier this summer. As a reminder, that bill would have decimated the hemp industry by banning most full-spectrum products. And now that the special session is underway, the bad bill is back..
Lawmakers have reintroduced the exact same harmful policy under new bill numbers: SB 5 in the Senate and HB 5 in the House. The Texas Senate has already passed SB 5, and HB 5 is now moving in the House.
If you live in Texas, lawmakers must hear directly from YOU that responsible regulation, not blanket prohibition, is the only path forward.
Urge lawmakers to reject extreme restrictions that would cripple the market. Instead, they should support common-sense regulations that safeguard consumers and promote economic growth, ensuring that hemp products remain safe, legal, and accessible for adults in Texas. We cannot support any effort that destroys small businesses, eliminates retail access, or treats hemp like marijuana.
