Urgent: Fight the Hemp Products Ban in Ohio!

SB 326 sets arbitrarily low THC limits for hemp products. Any product that contains more than 0.5mg of delta-9 THC per serving, 2mg of delta-9 THC per package, or more than 0.5mg of any other THC per package would be treated as intoxicating and completely prohibited in the state. There is no exception for topical products or full spectrum products that are non-intoxicating. Even worse, the ban would become effective immediately, potentially shutting down small businesses around Ohio and leaving them no time to sell through their existing inventories.

This bill is on a fast track in the Ohio Senate, and we need your help now to stop it.

Please urge legislators to consider the Roundtable’s proposal, which models what many other states have chosen—stronger enforcement, licensing for manufacturers and sellers, independent testing of hemp products, adequate labeling which prohibits child-enticing images, and age restrictions for consumable hemp products. Rather than banning hemp THC products, these reasonable restrictions ensure that adult consumers have access to the products they need, while keeping intoxicating products out of the hands of children.
