🚨URGENT ALERT🚨 – Final Days to Stop Bad Bills in Florida – Hemp Industry’s Survival at Stake!
Hemp Supporters in Florida, the clock is ticking! March 8th marks the final day of the regular session in Florida, and we’re facing a critical moment for our industry. The fate of hemp hangs in the balance as Senate Bill 1698 and its counterpart, House Bill 1613, threaten to impose devastating regulations that would cripple our farmers and small businesses statewide. These bills would create unnecessarily restrictive per serving/per container THC limits for hemp products, effectively prohibiting the majority of Full Spectrum products from being sold. But the problems don’t stop there. SB 1698 and HB 1613 would also prohibit ingestible or inhalable hemp extracts from containing synthetic or natural controlled substances, including delta-8 THC, delta-10 THC, HHC, THCA, THCP, and THCV.
Thanks to your help and the help of board member Sunflora|Your CBD Store, over 2,100+ messages have flooded legislators’ inboxes, but we cannot afford to slow down now. These bills pose a significant threat to Florida’s hemp industry, endangering the livelihoods of farmers and small retail businesses and adversely affecting the thousands of consumers who rely on hemp products for their health and wellness. Influential voices like Florida Politics have pointed out the ulterior motives behind these bills, with monopolists seeking to crush the hemp industry for their gain. They also recently reported that less than a third of Florida voters (32%) support the proposal. This includes only 45% of Republicans, 17% of Democrats, and 36% of voters not affiliated with any party.
But together, we can make a difference. We need to keep spreading the word and amplifying our voices to defeat these efforts to ban hemp products and ensure that fair regulations are put in place in Florida.
