Urge Lawmakers in Massachusetts to Support Hemp!
The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources recently stated that hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) cannot be marketed or sold as a food or dietary supplement. The Massachusetts Department of Public Health also issued guidancestating that CBD cannot be added to food.
One state legislator has already responded by introducing legislation—H. 4001—which would expand Massachusetts’ pilot program for hemp AND clarify that hemp-derived CBD products may be sold at retail. The bill would provide some of the strongest protections for CBD in the country.
H. 4001 is currently in committee and we’ll be following the process closely, so periodically check this page for updates.
If you are a resident or business owner in Massachusetts, please use our portal to send an email urging your legislators to support H. 4001.
Our portal makes this super easy, with your legislators already identified and an editable message prepared. Just type in your zip code and the appropriate email or petition will appear. Then, click the “submit” button so that your legislators will learn of your support!
