Urge Lawmakers in North Carolina to Support Hemp!
The North Carolina legislature is currently considering Senate Bill 315, which originated as a collaborative effort between the hemp industry and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.
There have been recent efforts to amend Senate Bill 315 to ban the sale of all cannabidiol (CBD) products until the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves CBD as a food additive and to treat smokable hemp as marijuana. So far, these efforts have failed, but we need to stay engaged.
Please use our portal to send an email urging your legislators to co-sponsor and/or support legislation permitting hemp-derived CBD to be marketed and sold as a food or dietary supplement.
Our portal makes this super easy, with your legislators already identified and an editable message prepared. Just type in your zip code and the appropriate email or petition will appear. Then, click the “submit” button so that your legislators will learn of your support!
