Support the Cannabinoid Safety and Regulation Act (S. 5243)

At a congressional briefing hosted by the US Hemp Roundtable on September 25th, Senator Ron Wyden (D-OR) announced the introduction of the Cannabinoid Safety and Regulation Act (S. 5243).  This critical legislation would protect hemp farmers, small businesses, and consumers by establishing a new federal regulatory framework for the provision of hemp products.  The approach includes the following four pillars: restrict youth access, increase quality control standards, standardize labeling, and standardize packaging.

The bill boasts the endorsement of the consensus of the hemp industry, with more than two dozen non-profit organizations pledging their support.
